The challenge
Hyboma, a Belgian real estate developer with around 100 employees, had rich operational data spread across multiple systems but no way to bring it together. Reporting relied heavily on manual Excel exports that were time-consuming, error-prone, and always outdated by the time they reached leadership. Their ERP system only offered detail-level views, with no helicopter overview across projects, contracts, or construction sites. On top of that, the default reporting solution provided by the ERP vendor did not accommodate Hyboma's specific business rules and customised setup.
Our approach
We started with a diagnostic study, interviewing stakeholders across all departments to understand the business needs and identify where data, reporting, and analytics could drive real value. That resulted in a prioritised list of reporting gaps and a technical blueprint of the data infrastructure needed to close them.
From there, we moved into implementation: building a centralised data model that incorporates all required data sources and Hyboma-specific business rules. Our approach was hands-on and collaborative. We worked closely with the teams to validate every KPI definition, co-built reports together, and always kept an eye on what would deliver quick wins along the way.
The result
Hyboma now has a single source of truth for company performance. Reports that used to take hours of manual assembly are available on demand. The data model is designed for independence: the team is being trained to build their own reports and analyses on top of it, without needing external support for every new question.
“Olivier truly took the time to listen to our needs, our constraints, and the challenges we were facing. Before working with him, we had already spoken with several other parties, but most of them came back with overly complex analyses and ambitious strategies before even delivering a single concrete result. Olivier approached things very differently. He took a hands-on approach and helped us untangle what felt like a complex web by breaking it down into smaller, manageable pieces. Suddenly, everything became clear and achievable. In less than two weeks, he had mapped everything out and presented us with a complete roadmap. What stood out most was how pragmatic it was: a clear, step-by-step plan that allowed us to understand exactly what we were starting, what commitment was required from our side, and what we could realistically expect along the way. It was structured, practical, and refreshingly straightforward.”
